Success with painting a room is down to something more than the use of good paint and a certain amount of skill in its application, though these two factors undoubtedly are essential.
Try to buy the best tools and equipment you can afford, especially the paint brushes. Also buy a good quality paint.
Buying cheap paint may often be false economy as you may need to apply several coats. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the tins of paint i.e. (stir well).

One of the most IMPORTANT rules are of the Preparation.

Make sure all wallpaper is removed from previously wallpapered walls Fill all hole and cracks (sand smooth when dry) sand smooth all woodwork surfaces and use decorator caulk where any woodwork meets the wall (Follow the manufacturers instructions).

This will help give your room a professionally finished look. Try to make sure you have enough paint to complete the job.

Take your time don't rush the job and give the paints time to dry between coats. Keep the dust down to a minimum in the room you are painting to help with this do all you preparation work before you start to paint.
